The XML Technology Certification Committee Announces Worldwide Availability of “XML Master Professional” Certification
The XML Technology Certification Committee announced worldwide availability of the “XML Master Professional” exam today. The “XML Master Professional” exam is a prerequisite for the “XML Master Professional” certification, a higher-level certification in the XML Master program.
The XML Master certification began in Japan in October 2001. The certification program consists of two levels, the "XML Master Basic," which certifies the fundamental skills of XML and XML-related technology, and the "XML Master Professional," which certifies a programmer's skills in developing applications with XML.
Since the “XML Master Basic” exam became available worldwide in January 2004, a great number of individuals have become certified in Japan, the U.S., and Europe. To date, more than 10,000 professionals have been certified around the world.
With the continued rapid growth of XML, the demand for the “XML Master Professional” certification system to assess the skills of XML-based application developers worldwide has also increased, leading to today’s announcement of the “XML Master Professional” test.
The “XML Master Professional” exam, available beginning today at Prometric’s testing center worldwide, is exam number I10-002, with a $125 examination fee. Individuals passing the exam will receive the official “XML Master Professional” certificate and logo sticker, which they may place on their business cards, etc.

"XML Master" is a certification program designed to objectively assess a software engineer's XML-related system design and software development skills. The XML Technology Certification Committee was established as an advisory group to conduct the appropriate examination that would be of real benefit to XML professionals in their carrier. The Committee consists of representatives from major IT vendors in Japan. The XML Master certification offers potential advantages in hiring, increasing in salary and promotions to the certificate holders.
