XML Master Success Story : Lech Proboszcz
|
What was the purpose of your taking the exam? |
I wanted to confirm and certify my knowledge of XML technologies. |
Did you have any experience with XML prior to taking the exam? |
Yes, I have over 6 years experience as a XML/XSD/XSLT, Java and Android instructor. |
How much time did you put into studying for the exam? |
I have spent three days studying XML and other XML technologies details. |
Let us know about any books, seminars or other preparation tools you used to study for the exam. |
The best source of knowledge to dispel any doubts are specifications, but most often they are hard to read. I can recommend some books in English: - XML 1.1 Bible (Wiley Publishing) - XML Schema Essentials (Wiley Publishing) - XML Schema (O'Reilly) - XSLT 2 (O'Reilly) On the web you can easily find many materials helpful to pass the exam, like examples, tutorials and video courses. |
Please share any post-exam thoughts or advice for those who will be taking the exam. |
The questions are not much complicated, but for me, as a foreigner, the main problem was the lack of time to understand the problem, analyse it and choose the right answers. Some questions, especially concerning schemas and transformations are quite verbose, and you must have some experience not to spend too much time on each question. |
